So far in glorious London we have enjoyed about three days of summer. Today is the fourth. The sun is shining, the children are shrieking outside, my office fan is blowing hot air in circles, the inebriated are out early… and isn’t it just marvellous?
Here’s The Hemingway Day.
Suede and water never did mix.
Lovely! Hope you have more summer days ahead.

I’m not holding my breath, the newspapers say August will be as much of a wash out as July. This is England. 😀

I wish we had your problem. You can have some of our California sunshine!

Oh please, send it my way! I’m coming to California in November, and I’ve got my fingers crossed the sun will still shine for me, but I will probably bring the London rain… although I know you have been in desperate need for it, so perhaps that won’t be a bad thing!

Yes, that would be a great thing! But it never rains two days in a row….well, usually. 🙂 The sunshine is in your favor!

Oh good, I was hoping to get lots of hiking in. But a good Londoner always has her brolly packed… 🙂

I fear you are right, I shall get outside and bask in it a little.

Wow, sun! I remember that. I used my heated seats on the way to work this morning, and this is supposed to be summer 😦
Enjoy the nice weather!

Haha, oh dear. I shan’t complain then, there is always someone worse off…

Jealous. That means I’ve missed half of them. A warm day in London is something magical.

We have another today. All the Londoners are happy. It’s so disconcerting.

Like the photo, but shiver to think of water and suede. 🙂

Thank you! I do like it when one of the photo challenges can inspire my Hemingway Day!

No sarcasm intended, right? Nice choice for the challenge.

Ooh no, not at all, we English aren’t known for that 😉

Brilliant and beautiful.
Just 4 days of summer? Even Amsterdam got better this year. Cross the channel!

Thank you! And I bet Amsterdam is beautiful under the sun too! We’re racking up the days now, on a roll, number five arrived today, perhaps six tomorrow, but any more would be unrealistic. Don’t ever come to England expecting sun.

You’re welcome, Laura! It’s beautiful when it’s sunny and it’s rare…
This summer has been exceptionally warm and sunny, though. Pity the warmer temps didn’t visit you in London.
In fact I’m so used to not expect good weather here that anything is a bonus!
